HOW TO USE EARTH TONES IN A SPACE

HOW TO USE EARTH TONES IN A SPACE

Original Fine Art by Thomas Gouws - 'Dreamcatcher'

While we tend to think about modern design as minimal and subdued – a clever use of colour is imperative, even in the most part. More than usual, there is an emphasis on natural colours and textures for comfort and security, to brighten our outlook and wellbeing. Timeless earthy and natural colours, such as olive green, warm greige and muted blush pink, are all a welcome addition to a modern interior.
This soothing palette is easy to apply into a space without being imposing or taking centre stage. As always, simplicity is high on our wish-list with spaces that are carefully curated and clutter-free, making the soft toned colours a welcome addition into our spaces.

Have you noticed how certain colours can totally change your mood?  Earthy tones make us emotive and lift our moods with words such as mindfulness, nostalgia and grounding shining bright.
Earth tones draw on a colour palette of browns, warm grey, tan and green – drawing from the earth’s natural tones and pigments. The best thing about earthy shades? They work perfectly with other colours, but also stands strong as a standout neutral in interiors.

WARM GREIGE
